GREIGE Prints is founded on the principles of simplicity and sustainability. Greige, named for its grey or off-white (beige) colour, is the raw fabric in its natural form before a print is added. We handpick the finest prints from textile designers and print their work on to a premium blend of silk and cotton greige sourced from Italy. This fabric is then turned into one of eight understated styles. From a tie-strap slip dress to a classic pyjama shirt, the minimalist silhouette of each item acts as a blank canvas for each designer’s print. In collaborating with print designers, we aim to bring their work to the forefront of the fashion, to showcase their unique and beautiful designs.
GREIGE Prints roots lie in sustainable and ethical clothing production. Our founders are the owners of MAES London, a luxury British clothing manufacturer. Through GREIGE Prints we are able to offer print designers an accessible route into fashion, empowering them to bring their collections to life. Every piece is made with care, by hand in the MAES London studio. Collections are limited edition and our core styles do not change from season to season, allowing customers to slowly build a collection of prints.
We want to cultivate a fashion economy that considers the entire cycle of fashion. We are focused on how we can minimise our impact on the environment and ensure everyone involved in the garment making process is treated fairly. As both the manufacturer and the stockist, we are able to streamline the process and create stock on demand. GREIGE Prints operate on a pre-order model so that garments are only made to the orders received. We are also directly responsible for those who make the garments, ensuring they are paid the living wage and working in excellent conditions. We care about humanity and the earth. As a company we are committed to continually working to reduce our impact on the planet we all inhabit. To read more about sustainability please click here.
